Superb Balance and Ergonomics
Not only is the guitar
beautifully balanced, but the controls are laid out for your
convenience. Everything falls naturally to your hand.

Semi-Hollowbody
Neck Through Design I like the aesthetics of archtop
guitars but I am not willing to live with typical archtop feedback
problems. My Neck-Through Semi-Hollowbody design eliminates
the excess feedback and achieves an ideal balance at a comfortable
weight. This is a guitar you will want to hold and to play, hour
after hour! In the photograph, you can see the curly
maple neck, as it goes all the way through the guitar. |

Uniquely Sculpted,
Patented, Neck Joint My special, carved, neck joint
is not only comfortable, but offers superb access to the 22 Fret Neck. |

| Solid Wood Carved-Top with Inlaid Accent Line
Unlike many
other thinline and archtop guitars, there is no veneer-covered plywood
here. These guitars are carved from solid, premium tonewoods.
The violin-style purfling adds a beautiful and eye-catching touch of
class to the carved tops. |

 |
Solid Wood Carved-Back
I believe that tops and backs carved
from solid wood give the guitar a truer "singing" quality than plywood
plates can ever achieve. |

Fitted Matching Wood Control Cover
I got tired of looking at
plastic plates on the backs of guitars. 'nuff said. |

Ebony Fretboard with Inlaid Accent Line
This subtle, elegant,
accent line is continued from the headstock. It defines the shape
of the board and ties in the shape of the fingerboard and headstock.
This picture also shows the unobtrusive truss-rod adjustment hole. |

Pickups
Lindy Fralin
Humbuckers at neck and bridge (except for Lindy Fralin
P90s on the Blues Queen). Lindy Fralin pickups have superb tone
and are extremely consistent from guitar to guitar. In my
opinion, they are as good or better than any other pickup you can
buy. |

At the Nut
One of the weakest spots on every guitar is under the nut ...
I put a radiused volute on the back of the headstock and another
radius on the headplate veneer. These features not only add to
the aesthetic value of the guitar but also serve as a functional
reinforcement of the weakest area of the guitar. |

Tuners
I use the stunning Gotoh 510 Tuners. These premium 18:1
ratio tuners are not only ergonomically designed, they are also
stunningly beautiful. |

|
 |
Ebony Carved Top Headstock Veneer
Not only does the
three-dimensional headplate add structural strength, as I discuss above,
but it adds an elegance to my patented headstock. |

Ebony Tailpiece
The Elite and Jazz Elite come with a carved
Ebony Tailpiece (Tone Pro Tailpiece optional). I love the looks of archtop guitars, so I wanted to have a tailpiece, but I didn't want a
floating tailpiece that, in my opinion, robs tone from the guitar.
Therefore, I designed this unique tailpiece that is mounted solidly to
the top of the guitar. |
 |
| |
|
 |
Tone Pro Bridge
I use Tone Pro bridges for two reasons.
First, they lock, so that when you are restringing the guitar, the
tailpiece doesn't slip off the posts and slide down the top of your
favorite guitar, damaging the finish before your eyes. Second, I
feel that the locking mechanisms on the bridge and tailpiece add sustain
to the instrument. |

5-way Switching for Humbucker and Single Coil Sound
I use the
premium Dimarzio Multipole switch for coil tapping. Switch
positions are humbuckers at 1,3 and 5; single coils at 2,4. |
