Garrison Fewell Visits CP Thornton Guitars!

Renowned guitarist Garrison Fewell recently paid us a visit here at the shop.  Garrison is not just a celebrated Jazz musician but also a professor at Berklee College of Music - where, 24 years ago, he taught Chuck. 

He, along with engineer Steven Greene, made the trip up here to try some of our guitars.  Steven had a couple of microphones set up and in just a few minutes we were not only listening to Garrison's amazing Jazz playing through a '68 Fender Vibrolux (Thanks George!) and Garrison's vintage Princeton but recording it as well! 

Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to hear his playing through our house Carr Slant 6V, but I'd bet it would have sounded amazing.  We are hoping to come up with some samples of this session for downloading here on the website.

We all had a blast!  Garrison loved our consistent neck shape from instrument to instrument, tone and sustain, and we were floored by his playing.  Steven made "catching the moment" a breeze.
